Julian Wasser’s famous 1963 photo of Marcel Duchamp playing chess with Eve Babitz at the Pasadena Art Museum.

Reading this book, I read this line and decided to look up this picture, then I discover that the author is the actual woman in the photo and I think that’s just so awesome. After doing a little reading up on Eve Babitz, I’m thinking of trying to find some more of her books though I read that most of them are out of print and hard to find. I’m glad that I found Sex and Rage at my school’s library, maybe they’ll have more! Anyway, I absolutely love this photo.

History midterm handed back today and I got an A! So happy with myself (: Now relaxing and enjoying some oatmeal with bananas, and a good book: Sex and Rage. It’s good so far, though admittedly I’m only about thirty pages in. Nevertheless, this Eve Babitz is a great author with a unique writing style, so it’s already off to a pretty great start!

P.S. I found out that you can check out FORTY books at a time from my college library! Is this not insane? Lol.

I wish I had a twin! Or even just a sister. I have three brothers, one older & two younger, and I strongly believe that my lack of knowing how to act like a girl is because of this. I wish I had had an older sister to look up to and try to be like. I had my mom, but it really isn’t the same as having a sister. So, if you have a sister or a twin, I’m jealous of you. Lol.

Morning! Headed to school, but I’m off work today so that makes me a happy camper! My last class today gets out at 2:10, wahhh I wish it was earlier. Oh well. Anyway, today is the start of a new month & I’m attempting to bring back some old habits (exercising, healthy eating), while also developing some new habits (doing homework NOT at the last minute, taking more shifts at work because I need the money). I hope I get off to a good start today, planning to go running once I’m home, for 30mins to an hour depending on how I feel. Then, use my Nike Training Club app and do one of their KILLER workouts. Anyone use the Nike Training Club app? If you don’t, but you have an android or I think iPhone has it too, you should definitely download it! Most awesome app with tons of intense work-outs, plus ones that aren’t so intense in case you are new to working out or just super out of shape (like me, ha).

I hope everyone has a great day, I will try to make mine a good one with no negative energy. I’m sort of a negative person at times, but I want to try to change that. I could use some optimisim in my life. Well, time to reblog until my bus gets here at 9:30! Later!

I’ve realized that using my tumblr is almost like therapy for me, I need to blog. Haha, seems dramatic I know, but its honestly true. It’s been at least four months or so maybe more maybe a little less, and I’ve been going crazy with all the thoughts in my head and no outlet. I mean, I have friends and family and an amazing boyfriend, but there are some things I’d rather post online for the Tumblr world to read than tell it to those closest to me. I know I can’t possibly be alone on that front. Anywho, I want to make a conscious effort to start getting back to my old routine of using Tumblr more often, but I also don’t want to let it consume me like it used to. I don’t want to spend hours on end reblogging because I have school to focus on and I need to start exercising again! I’ve been so lazy since the end of last summer and I want to get out of my fitness rut. Tumblr’s also good at helping me stay on track with my fit-goals. So, I’m back! AND HERE TO STAY. Lol. I missed my Tumblr fam! <3.
